One of the most important but underrated aspects of man’s life on earth, is the awesome power of belief and its effect on the human condition. While this topic is commonly viewed in a religious context, Correctionism takes things a step further by taking a close look at the quality of human beliefs, both religious and secular, and their impact on the state of man and his world. This is very important because few people take the time to consider the effects of the most influential and cherished beliefs of the day and the conduct they produce. In Correctionism, this is a major indicator of whether mankind is on the right track or the wrong track at any given time.
If we examine the current state of man’s world, it will be found that mankind has never been as wrong or as misguided as it is today. This leads us to one of the most important teachings in Correctionism, the Paradox of Popular Belief, which is defined as: No belief of man need ever be actually true as long as enough people believe that it is. In other words, a most peculiar thing about the human species is that the Truth is vital for the proper conduct of human life and the source of all that’s good; nevertheless, the actual truth is often cast aside in human societies if it should in any way clash with the most influential or cherished religious or secular beliefs of the day. This is why the Truth is often despised and suppressed in man’s societies or civilizations and this has been the source of untold misery for our species.
Furthermore, man is often a victim of erroneous yet popular beliefs which can even become the basis of his earthly existence. When this occurs, mankind becomes susceptible to Massive Human Error (MHE), which in Correctionism is defined as: The cumulative effects of great mistakes and crimes committed by large numbers of people over long periods of time. On the other hand, without truth, nothing in human life works properly. If mankind’s great mistakes and crimes remain uncorrected, it can lead to the utter ruin of human life itself. Mankind is now facing just such a scenario.
Today, we find ourselves in the post-modern era; nonetheless, few beliefs of man have caused more damage to the human condition than the concept of modernity, which is defined as being of recent origin, new, not ancient. Modernity represents a drastic break with humanity’s past, which includes the accumulated wisdom of the ancient world. Therefore, modernity is all about completely redefining things, which has set mankind adrift in a sea of endless theorizing and conjecture. The foundations of the modern era were set down by key institutions during the last roughly five centuries. Among the most important of these institutions is the aggressive empire, which also happens to be the greatest criminal enterprise devised by man. Furthermore, aggressive empires have been the dominant force during roughly the last 6000 years of recorded history. The earth has been converted into a massive crime scene via the ravages of imperial warfare and slavery; this onslaught continues even today.
Though most men see modern and post-modern civilization as the height of human achievement nothing could be further from the Truth. In reality, modern and post-modern civilizations are the most wayward civilizations in recorded history. In spite of the vaunted progress of the modern era, the deliberate misuse of the power of belief to deceive and manipulate most of the people all of the time as well as the fictionalization of human life have increased exponentially. Some of the most important modern beliefs are therefore among the greatest lies and hoaxes. Things have become so bad in this respect that modernity can also be seen as the devil’s master-plan for cheating mankind out of the benefits of life on earth. However, most modern people don’t see things that way because they’ve been largely taught to see themselves as the most advanced humans ever to walk the earth and to discount anything ancient or not of modern origin. Therefore, the modern world was made possible by a series of key trends in politics, religion and science that have also greatly contributed to the triumph of evil over good on earth.
In the political sphere, modernity arose from rampant imperialism, or the criminal use of nations, and the idea of an empire that spanned the entire world bringing all humanity under its influence. This not only gave birth to the so-called international community of nations but it has also contributed greatly to the overthrow of Truth by official or orthodox dogma as the gold standard by which all human beliefs are to be judged. In the religious sphere, modernity arose as a reaction to the concept of one size fits all in religion which is based upon the erroneous idea that one religion could actually fit everyone; this is best illustrated in history by the so-called Monotheistic or world conquering religions that came to power by persecuting or killing those who disagreed with them. This converted the vast majority of mankind into bigoted believers, practitioners of blind, unquestioning religious faith. Thus, blind, unquestioning faith in religion was easily translated into blind, unquestioning faith in all things modern.
In the scientific sphere, modernity gave birth to new ways of seeing the world and its origin which completely broke with the best ancient knowledge on these subjects. Hence, we now have theories like the big bang, evolution as well as the concept of one size fits all in medical remedies for example. The foregoing beliefs are pillars of modern thought yet they have done much to send men off on the wrong track. Unfortunately, once people are convinced that something is true, they tend to cling to such beliefs even when proven false. Therefore, the foregoing modern theories and practices are considered orthodox and even sacrosanct dogma today; the world of men not only runs largely on these beliefs but people are also blinded by them as well. Ironically, a dark age and a so-called renaissance or period of awakening preceded the modern era; yet that was all it took to completely bamboozle mankind. The proof of this lies in the fact that in spite of all the claims of modern and post-modern advancement, modern people are both easy to deceive and quick to deceive themselves.
In this light, modernity and post-modernity are synonymous with False Civilization rather than True Civilization. In Correctionism, True Civilization is defined as any form of civilization where human evil and ignorance are actually held in check, while False Civilization is any form of civilization where human evil and ignorance dominate. This is the essential problem posed by modern and post-modern civilization because they represent the literal triumph of evil and ignorance over goodness and truth here on earth. Among the great challenges of modernity is: the more technology is able to do for people, the less they will be able to do for themselves. This can only result in extremely ignorant and incompetent humans, which accurately describes the state of the vast majority of cell-phone entranced humans today. Moreover, modern myths are just as potent as ancient myths in casting spells over the minds of men.
An excellent example of a modern myth is the Illusion of Progress. In Correctionism, this refers to the widespread modern fallacy that mankind is progressing towards better and better things with the passage of time, when, in reality, mankind is currently progressing towards a digital dark age. Another modern myth is the idea of artificial intelligence or AI becoming “conscious,” which also elevates AI to the status of a deity. Men are now worshipping artificial intelligence thereby making it more important than themselves. The entire idea that everything humans are now doing must be turned over to AI is indeed a recipe for disaster. This is largely because men have become increasingly ignorant and incompetent at being human due to the massive damage wrought by modern beliefs and behaviors. Surely, the entire concept of modernity was conceived by the devil himself.
Ironically, modern civilizations are often thought of as advanced civilizations but the only thing that’s advanced in such societies is the level of evil and ignorance among men. In modern societies, every element of human culture is weaponized and used against humanity; so extreme deception and manipulation of most of the people is an ever-present danger. In modern life, the devil commands the latest science and technology while the people still follow ancient customs like looking to heaven for their salvation! There’s one thing that people living today need to learn, and that is: There’s no such thing as advanced civilization without advanced people. Therefore, advanced science and technology don’t necessarily equate to an advanced civilization. When one takes the time to peek behind the curtains of modern life, it will be found that modern civilization is merely the same old human barbarism and depravity played with advanced technology. Correctionism teaches that, the devil loves technology because it makes his job easier.
If current trends continue uncorrected, we’re now witnessing what can best be described as the culmination of several thousand years of Massive Human Error (MHE) on earth. At the top of man’s monumental mistakes and or crimes is the practice of blind, unquestioning faith in the most influential and cherished religious and secular beliefs. Mankind has done this for many thousands of years; so, the stronger man’s blind faith became, the deeper the hole dug for our species. Things have become so bad many religious people believe that we’re currently in the “End Times.” This is the central teaching of the doctrine of the Apocalypse; however, the Apocalypse doesn’t appear to be about the destruction of the world, but about men becoming so foolish that today they risk losing all of the rights and benefits their forefathers won over the last roughly five centuries. The brutal reality is that contrary to popular religious beliefs, God has nothing whatsoever to do with the great calamity now threatening the vast majority of mankind; for as we learn in Correctionism, in real human life it’s not God who punishes man for his great mistakes and derelictions of duty but the devil. Mankind has lived in a deep trance imposed by the beliefs that have ruled men’s minds. This trance is not only deep seated but also very difficult to break out of. Nevertheless, man must break this trance in sufficient numbers because we can no more get away with blindly adhering to our beliefs, religious or secular, than we can get away with walking around with our eyes closed.
